I Made America is the story of six founding fathers trapped in a different world. George Washington, James Madison, Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, and John Adams were kidnapped and brought to 2012 to be used as puppets in the upcoming Presidential election. They reject the Super PAC that brought them here (ARFF – American Revolutionaries for Freedom and Family) and are ultimately left penniless and alone in present day Chicago. Each week a new video will be released updating viewers on what the founding fathers are up to.
In addition to a new episode each Wednesday, you can communicate with the founding fathers in real time via Facebook and Twitter, so make sure to follow them. Who knows, you might even run into them at a bar!
I’m very happy to announce that I have teamed up with Octavarius to begin working on an exciting new project entitled I Made America.
I Made America is a transmedia comedy about six founding fathers who are kidnapped from their own time and brought to 2012 to be used as props in the upcoming election. After discovering the founding fathers disagree politically with everyone now (and one too many practical jokes) they are cut off, leaving them penniless, unemployed, and alone in Chicago. The story follows these six men, the rock stars of their time, fighting to regain their former status when they are 200 years out of place. I’ll be playing George Washington.
There’s so much going on with this project: Web videos, live performances, tweets, dating sites, the list goes on.
We currently have $20,000 raised to put this all together, and we’re estimating we’ll need about $5,000-$10,000 more. If you have a few bucks to spare, please consider donating to this exciting project. More information (as well as all of the cool stuff you get for donating) is available at our I Made America IndieGoGo page.
Ahh, vacation time. No rehearsals, no performances, just straight up free time to do whatever I please.
Until April at least. I’ll be taking a break from the stage to catch up on some personal projects and travel out west.
IN THE MEANTIME, be sure to visit www.octavarius.com to keep up with our hilarity. Don’t forget to our weekly podcast. Oh, did I mention you can listen to the podcast as we record it live every Monday night? Well, now I did.
