About I Made America

I Made America is a transmedia comedy show about six founding fathers kidnapped from their time to be used as props in the upcoming 2012 election. After discovering the differences between these men and today’s politicians (on top of their foolishness) they are cut off, leaving them penniless, unemployed and alone in Chicago. The story follows John AdamsThomas JeffersonGeorge WashingtonBenjamin FranklinAlexander Hamilton and James Madison, the rock stars of their time, fighting to regain their former statuses when they are 200 years out of place.

The main story is told each week through a series of “heartbeat” videos – 7-12 minute long episodes that progress the story.  In addition to this, fans of the show have the ability to follow the Founding Fathers on Facebook and Twitter, listen to songs written and performed by Thomas Jefferson, and even meet up with them at one of many social gatherings.

I Made America has been covered by a variety of media, including RedEye ChicagoThe Onion AV ClubWGN RadioWGN Morning NewsHuffington PostGood Day (Fox Chicago), and many others. Fans of the show have even created and submitted their own fan art.  Never before has an audience been able to interact with the characters on the screen in real time in such a way.

I’ve been working on this project since October of 2011, and it’s been a very rewarding experience. I play George Washington.
